WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE IT TO DO?!

Features include a continuous 360° Pan & Tilt with 22X optical Zoom and 480 lines Color Resolution, 570 Black & White, with 1/.06 lux. Designed to be installed on the bottom of the aircraft fuselage, the camera is housed in a patented environmental heated enclosure, nitrogen purged and hermetically sealed with a small 4.75” transparent dome. Scans, Patrols, Motion Detector and Alarms plus 60 programmable presets are available.

In its most basic mode, the camera will automatically sequence through presets for Turn-On, Taxi, Take-Off, Cruise (scan?), Approach and Taxi. Passengers may at anytime adjust Pan, Tilt, Zoom as they wish. The next time there is an event, i.e. Take-Off, Landing etc., the camera will return to the programmed preset. Manual control of the camera is via RS485 and may be accomplished simply through a PALM PILOT. If touch screens exist in the cabin they may also be utilized, as AVS will provide their DOME Camera Command Protocol to all touch screen manufacturers.

As a security camera, the AVS DOME Camera will accept four alarms IN (e.g. from motion detectors) sending it to presets. These presets may be programmed with its internal camera Motion Detector ON providing two alarms OUT, if motion is detected. Additionally, the AVS DOME Camera will automatically become Black & White in the dark with increased light (.06 lux) and IR sensitivity.

The AVS Dome Camera Computer provides simultaneous dual touch screen capability; a touch screen for the cabin and one for the cockpit. The passenger’s touch screen provides a video PIP for viewing and camera Pan, Tilt & Zoom controls. The pilot’s touch screen has the same video PIP for viewing and features a graphic presentation of the aircraft with presets for the landing gears, engines, APU, etc. Also, up to 16 additional video inputs may be selected e.g. tail, winglets or galley cameras.

A computer upgrade to include ARINC 429 capability and AVS’s patented MapTrac® software will allow the AVS DOME Camera to automatically track points of interest (POI) on the ground, e.g. Grand Canyon, Golden Gate Bridge, towns, airports, etc. This tracking is both roll and pitch stabilized. POIs may be automatically or manually selected and may come from an internal or remote database.

MapTrac® software includes world, country and local Moving Maps and a Flight Data Page. A client’s Logo and a full motion, cockpit selectable Cabin Briefing may be added. A CD player is included for software upgrades.
